Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Cuvée Rameau Lamarosse 2015
Accessible Hospices. Fresh and enjoyable.
Tasting notes
Pleasant nose with a mix of fruits typical of Burgundian Pinot Noir. Medium density and fresh mouthfeel with a nice enveloppe. An accessible enjoyable wine to (re)discover.
Wine & food pairings - cellaring potential
The juicy character of this wine allows many food pairings: cold cuts, grilled meats, mixed salads or Epoisses cheese to stay local!
History
From 1626, the Lamarosse family linked its destiny to Beaune. Its first known representative was Anatole, a cooper, then numerous descendants were leading Burgundy wine exporters throughout the world, in the 19th century. The last descendant left her house and vineyards to the Hospices de Beaune and to her native village, Pernand. These 30-year-old vines are perfectly situated to catch the rising sun, which starts the ripening process each morning.
