This beautiful premier cru surrounded by walls combines a generous aromatic register (lemon, white flowers, touch of honey) with a beautiful palate. There is roundness as expected with Pouilly, but also a lot of elegance and density. A real pleaser from the aperitif to the meal.
An ideal aperirif, on its own, this Cru will also be a great match with veal lambchops, seafood or dry goat cheese. Very versatile!
In the south of Burgundy, near Macon, Pouilly-Fuissé is a appellation synonym with generosity. The recent classification as Premiers Crus of some of it's best terroirs are justified by their undisputable quality, such as this Clos Reyssié, situated in the village of Chaintré.
