Superb, finely decorated wooden box, limited edition of 25 copies , a nod to the 2025 vintage of the 165th Hospices de Beaune auction. The box contains a trilogy of 3 great vintages of Meursault cuvée Goureau purchased and aged by Albert Bichot for an incomparable vertical tasting. The box also contains a booklet presenting the history of this cuvée and the vintages.

Tasting & gourmet pairings

A vintage undeniably imbued with the terroir, with a very expressive nose (white fruits, pear, flowers) followed by a delicious palate nuanced by lovely bitter notes and a hint of acidity on the finish. A great white Burgundy wine to enjoy on its own or with smoked fish or mountain cheeses.

A vertical collection of 3 great vintages

  • 2018: a vintage generous in quality and with its ample and caressing style, without lacking precision.
  • 2020: a very early, intense and very balanced vintage, reminiscent of years like 2005 or 2015. The wine is very elegant, more about finesse than power.
  • 2022: a rather sunny year with almost perfect balance. A very straightforward, balanced, precise wine without austerity.

History, terroirs and ageing at Albert Bichot

The cuvée is mainly composed of the "Les Peutes Vignes" climate with a few rows of "Grands Charrons" to complete it. The soil is stony, gently sloping, and quite rich in clay. The wines draw strength from it and are concentrated and harmonious.

For this wonderful vintage, we keep about 15% new oak, supplemented by a combination of 2 to 4 year old barrels, from fresh forests (Vosges, Jura) with rather short toasts and medium grains. The aging lasts on average 9 to 12 months depending on the vintage to preserve the delicacy of this emblematic vintage.
