A powerful yet subtle wine. An elegant and distinguished nose of black fruits, with a hint of spice (cumin) and violet. Its ample and balanced body offers beautiful substance and true density. A great Côte de Nuits wine to enjoy with grilled red meats, beef bourguignon, or strong cheeses.
This 1er cru "Chaînes Carteaux" plot, halfway up the hillside, overlooks the 1er cru "Les Saint-Georges", to the south of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation.
Expertise: Hand-harvested in small 12 kg crates at perfect ripeness. Approximately 25% whole grapes. Traditional vinification. Manual punching down of the cap. 3 weeks of vatting. Gravity-pressed in new, one-wine barrels.
