Tasting notes
Location: a fabulous terroir, the village of Chambolle is located between Vougeot and Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. The plot “Les Chabiots”, adjoining “Les Amoureuses”, lies in the southern zone of the Premiers Crus. The shallowness of the soil and the proximity of limestone rock are responsible for its silkiness and elegance. Hand picked. About 25% whole cluster. Traditional open wooden vats vinification. Barrel ageing with a high-level selection of oaks from the finest French forests. Nose: subtle blend of black fruits and berries with a hint of pepper and tobacco following. What a complex beginning! A silky mouth, with caressing tanins, all in subtletly reveal the Chambolle identity with an ever-lasting finish. A high-level Burgundy.
